ANZ appoints new investment managers

ANZ has made changes to its investment management structure.

Wednesday, March 13th 2019, 10:58AM

Alan Clarke and Maaike Van Tol assume co-leadership of ANZ Investments' diversified portfolio management, which represents more than $20 billion of funds under management across KiwiSaver, investment funds and private bank.

It follows the resignation of Stuart Millar.

Chief investment officer Paul Huxford said the pair were suited to take on the leadership role because they had strong track records and considerable experience.

Clarke had been with ANZ Investments for 12 years, responsible for the selection of its external managers and responsible investment capabilities.

Van Tol had 12 years' capital markets experience, he said.

She had been a senior asset allocation manager with ANZ Investments for the past three-and-a-half years, focusing on strategic and tactical allocation.
