FMA commissions active report

The Financial Markets Authority has appointed researchers at MyFiguciary to study the application of active and passive investment management strategies.

The FMA said the report would look at the portfolios of KiwiSaver providers, the fees incurred and an assessment of whether investors were getting good value for money.

A report was expected in the first half of this year.

MyFiduciary confirmed the work but would not comment further.
