Andrew Gunn

Andrew Gunn has been involved with financial adviser associations for seven years, first with the IFA and then Financial Advice New Zealand.

He will become strategic partnership manger with IFSO.

Gunn said he had been approached by the IFSO scheme and knew Karen Stevens through his work with the associations.

IFSO wanted to hire someone with knowledge and understanding of the new financial advice regime, he said.

It was a senior position with the scheme, which was attractive, he said.

“It’s not that I’m unhappy with my role here so it was a difficult decision to leave but it’s an opportunity to step up.”

His last day with Financial Advice New Zealand will be March 23.

Gunn said he had enjoyed working with advisers and the process of forming a new association was a highlight of his time in the role.
