Trustees Executors has appointed Laurence Kubiak as the new Independent chairman of its board, replacing interim chair Graeme Kirkpatrick.

Kubiak joined the board as an independent director in November 2019 as the company embarked on a growth and transformation strategy. He is an accomplished business executive with extensive global experience. Kubiak is currently chief executive of the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research, and has managed and built high-performing businesses in various sectors, including telecommunications, energy and technology.

TE chief executive and executive director Ryan Bessemer said: “In his time on the board Laurence has developed a deep knowledge of the business, as well as demonstrating great vision and passion for our clients. On behalf of the board I congratulate him on his appointment and look forward to his ongoing contribution as chair.”

Kirkpatrick will continue as a non-executive director on the board. “I would like to thank Graeme for his valuable contribution as interim chair, and for the support he has provided. I look forward to continuing our work together as we drive the company’s next stage of growth,” Bessemer said.
