Public Trust appoints CFO

A new chief financial officer will join Public Trust from October 12.

A senior finance executive with global experience, Peter Aish will join Public Trust on October 12 from his current role as CFO at Southern Cross Benefits Limited (Southern Cross Travel Insurance). 

He brings with him almost 30 years of finance experience, including nearly a decade as CFO at Deutsche Bank in New Zealand, where he continues to hold a directorship role. Prior to this, he spent nearly 10 years as chief accountant at ABN AMRO Bank NV.

“Peter joins our organisation at a pivotal time in our journey,” says Public Trust chief executive Glenys Talivai. “Having recently re-articulated our business strategy, strong financial capabilities will be crucial in helping us meet our strategic aspiration to deliver products and services that are compelling, relevant and accessible to all Kiwis.”

Public Trust is New Zealand’s largest provider of estate planning and management services, including wills and enduring powers of attorney. Its corporate division supervises 11 of the country’s KiwiSaver funds.
