After 16 years at the helm, CEO Frank Aldridge is bowing out.

He has worked at Craigs, one of the country's largest private wealth managers, for 24 years. Aldridge became chief executive at the age of 31.

There was no set date for his departure, he said, but it would be soon.

Chairman Neil Craig will step into the CEO role while the company searches for a new chief executive.

Last year Craigs Investment Partners formed a strategic alliance with one of the best known names in investment banking, J P Morgan.

J P Morgan purchased Deutsche Bank’s 49.9% equity interest in Craigs.
