Fidelity Life has appointed former SHARE and Swiss Re executive Bronwyn Kirwan as its new chief sales and service officer.

Kirwan's appointment is a crucial one as the company’s customer-led transformation progresses, the company says in a statement.

“Bronwyn’s deep insurance experience and technology credentials will be invaluable as our plans to diversify our channel mix and reach even more New Zealanders develop," chief executive Melissa Cantell says.

“As well as ensuring we keep delivering an exceptional experience to advisers, partners and customers, she’ll be leading our new strategic alliance with Westpac NZ.”

Since her beginnings as a financial adviser, Kirwan has a long career in the insurance industry, which has included distribution and market strategy roles with Zurich International and Swiss Re in the UK, Europe and Australia, and as chief executive of financial adviser network SHARE in New Zealand.

Most recently Kirwan has been leading iptiQ, Swiss Re’s disruptive digital insurer based in Sydney.

She starts on August and will report to chief executive Melissa Cantell.
