Pie Funds founder and chief executive, Mike Taylor, has returned to the CIO role following news that incumbent, Mark Devcich is leaving to join a new boutique funds management firm.

The company has appointed Kent Williams and Greg Kang in portfolio management roles.

Williams joins the firm in its Sydney office as portfolio manager of the Australasian Growth 2 Fund and co-portfolio manager of the Australasian Emerging Companies Fund.

He is an experienced investment professional who has spent the past nine years in AMP Capital’s Sydney-based small cap team.

Kang is the global equity and ESG analyst. He previously worked as head of research and senior portfolio manager at Eastspring Investments in Seoul, and is based in Auckland.

This follows the recent hire of Andrew Heap, who has joined Pie's London office as an investment analyst. Pie now has three people in its London office.

Taylor expects its investment team members to continue to grow across all three offices, over the years ahead.
