AIA chief partnership officer, Sam Tremethick, has decided to return home to Australia and will be leaving the company at the end of next month.
As a result, AIA has appointed Sharron Moana Botica as chief distribution officer, and Angela Busby as its chief customer officer.
Chief executive Nick Stanhope says, “Sam has been a valuable member of the AIA NZ whānau since joining us in 2019. In this time, he has worked tirelessly alongside our distribution team to help support our adviser and partner community. We wish him the very best as he heads back home across the ditch.”
Botica is currently the chief customer and digital officer. With more than 20 years' experience in New Zealand's life insurance industry, She has held a number of senior leadership roles across HR, operations, digital and marketing functions.
Busby is currently the chief strategy officer for the chief executive's office. She has more than 25 years' financial markets experience leading teams and developing strategies. Before stepping into the strategy role at AIA NZ, she held roles as chief people and culture officer at Sovereign, managing principal of ASB Securities, and general manager of Aegis.
“I congratulate both Sharron and Angela on these new appointments. I know these two incredible wahine toa will continue to make a difference and help AIA NZ champion New Zealand to be the healthiest and best protected nation in the world, as they step into their new roles in October,” Stanhope says.
