Chairperson, Ana-Marie Lockyer, is taking over as the chief executive, replacing founder, Mike Taylor.

Lockyer was formerly the head of AA Money and previously had senior roles in ANZ.

In explaining the move, Taylor said after 15 years as chief executive, he wanted to focus on investment, which was his “passion.”

For most of his time at the company, he was chief investment officer (CIO), and will retain that role.

“Having worked closely with Ana-Marie in her role as chair of the board at Pie Funds over the last two years I am excited to have such a high-calibre individual picking up the reins of CEO,” Taylor said.

“She will be a great fit for the team, our investors, and our shareholders.”

Pie Funds is a 15 year old firm headquartered in Auckland but with a big presence in Hawkes Bay, along with offices in Sydney and London.

It has about $2.3 billion under management including close to $500 million in KiwiSaver, and 45 full time staff.
