Craig Winterburn has been appointed to replace outgoing chief executive Tony Dench.

Winterburn has been with SHARE for just over two years in the role of National Network Development manager.

Prior to going the dealer group he was the general manager, retail sales and key partnerships at Fidelity Life and before that he had a distribution role with Asteron Life. He has also had distribution roles with AMP and AXA.

Dench resigned after five years at the helm but stayed on until a replacement was found.

He has taken on a new role at Gaze Commercial to serve as group property strategist. Prior to SHARE he was with BNZ.

The SHARE board has issued a statement thanking Dench for his work.

“We are extremely grateful for Tony’s willingness to assist us by remaining in the role until a suitable replacement could be found."

His last day will be on November 4.
