ANZ names new CIO
ANZ has revealed who will replace Paul Huxford as its chief investment officer.

George Crosby has been appointed as the new chief investment officer for ANZ Investments.
Crosby has more than 20 years of experience in the investments industry working in New Zealand and the UK. He studied law and commerce and is of Te Rarawa and Te Aupōuri descent.
“It has been a privilege working for Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation investing for future generations of New Zealanders. I am looking forward to joining one of Aotearoa’s largest and most experienced investment teams and helping many more Kiwis with their investment goals,” Mr Crosby said.
ANZ NZ managing director for funds management Fiona Mackenzie said “this is an exciting time for George to join ANZ Investments as we continue to explore possible global partnerships that will position us for growth as New Zealand’s largest KiwiSaver provider.
“George’s extensive investment and leadership experience, including 15 years with the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, through the development of their world leading investment approach as well as establishing their portfolio investments team, will be a superb addition to our investment management team,” she said.
ANZ Investments is New Zealand’s biggest private sector fund manager and KiwiSaver provider, managing over $33 billion in investments for over 675,000 investors.
Crosby will start the role in early 2024.
