Tony Dench, currently a committee member will step up into the Chair's role from August 14.
Dench is a professional director and consultant, and has been a member of the Committee for three years. He was previously SHARE NZ Chief Executive and has held senior leadership positions in banking and financial services in New Zealand and overseas.
Graeme Edwards also steps down from the committee. He is being replaced by Judi Jones.
Jones is a professional director and consultant and also active in the voluntary sector. She is highly experienced in dispute resolution, having been Australia’s Telecommunications Ombudsman and New Zealand’s Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner. Jones was formerly Chair of the Australia and NZ Ombudsman Association.
The Code Committee is Aotearoa New Zealand’s independent standard setter for financial advice.
