Fidelity Life sold to Partners
A long-rumoured deal has come to fruition. Partners Life plans to acquire Fidelity Life.
Partners Group Holdings Limited, the holding company of Partners Life, has agreed to acquire Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited in a deal that would bring two established New Zealand-founded life insurers under the same ownership.
The proposed transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other completion requirements. Until those approvals are obtained and the deal completes, Partners Life and Fidelity Life will continue to operate independently.
Partners Group Holdings (PNZ) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daiichi Life Group, Inc and the holding company of Partners Life. The companies said the transaction provides an opportunity to combine their complementary strengths while retaining a focus on customers, advisers and strategic partners.
