Troy Churton has been appointed to the new role.

Churton joins the FSC after five and a half years as national manager – retirement villages, at the Commission for Financial Capability, where he championed collaboration and education to grow consumer awareness and financial capability.

FSC chief executive Richard Klipin says: “Troy is experienced in implementing stakeholder engagement and public-facing education programmes that will be valuable in assisting our membership, and the wider financial services sector to build more momentum through the FSC.”

Churton said, “I’m looking forward to collaborating with FSC members and partners to help further develop the voice of the FSC and expand our reach to ultimately help Kiwis to be more financially resilient.”

The FSC grew by a third last year to 91 members, largely because of its merger with Workplace Savings NZ and The Health Funds Association of NZ under the FSC banner.
