Cigna's general manager of distribution, David Haak says the campaign couldn’t have come at a better time for customers as the country deals with the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on our collective financial wellbeing.

“As an industry, one real positive we’ve seen is that more New Zealanders are thinking about whether they have the right insurance to meet their needs and are reaching out to their advisers for support.”

The campaign offers Kiwis two months of free cover when they take out or increase their level of Cigna insurance and offers advisers twice the servicing commission for two months for all new business and increases sold during the campaign period.

“A number of advisers have told us the timing of the offer couldn’t have been better," says Haak.

"Being able to tell their customers they could enjoy two months of free premiums while having the peace of mind they’ve protected what matters most is a wonderful feeling and really eases the pressure people are feeling at this time."

Director and insurance specialist at Lime Group, Steve Marsden has enjoyed seeing his customers reactions to the offer.

“After taking a client through the advice process, making a recommendation and selecting Cigna as the provider, the feeling I got seeing my client's reaction when I told them they would get their first two months of premiums free was gold.”

Over the past few months, Cigna has seen a significant increase in the number of advisers choosing to partner with them.
