AIA New Zealand chief distribution officer Angela Busby has retired after seven years in senior leadership roles at AIA.

Busby has held several executive positions over the years including chief customer officer and chief strategy officer, alongside her current distribution role.

Jonathan Beale took over as acting chief distribution officer from December 16.

AIA NZ says Busby helped shape the company's strategy, strengthen adviser relationships and deliver outcomes for customers during her time with the business.

“Angela has made an incredible contribution to AIA NZ and the wider industry, holding key executive roles and helping to shape our strategy, strengthen adviser relationships and deliver great outcomes for customers,” the insurer said in a LinkedIn announcement.

“We’re deeply grateful for Angela’s leadership and commitment.”
