Fred Lipscombe, 62, is retiring as managing director of Guardian Assurance, and will be replaced by Tom Jackson. Jackson, previously general manager operations, has been with the company since 1977. He has held various management positions including being responsible for sales and marketing. Lipscombe’s retirement and Jackson’s promotion will led to further appointments being made later in the year.
