J B Were and Son's head of research Clark Perkins has been appointed as its New Zealand managing director.

Current managing director David Evans will return to Australia in the New Year to become executive assistant to chairman Terry Campbell.

Evans will remain a director of J B Were and Son.

"The firm is to continue its drive to be a totally full service broking/investment house," Evans says. "Expansion in the private client and corporate departments will continue."
