Bankers Trust New Zealand chief executive Rob Morrison is moving across the Tasman to become head of equities for Bankers Trust in Australia.
Morrison will be replaced by current deputy chief executive officer John MacFarlane.
Morrison will take up the Sydney-based position by the end of this month.
"Rob Morrison is needed in Australia and we are confident he will make a major contribution to the Australian business in this key role," chairman Rob Ferguson says.
Morrison, who previously headed broking firm Ord Minnett in New Zealand for seven years, joined BT a year ago.
