Northland-based planner Irene Durham has won the 1998 Woman in Business Award from the Federation of Business and Professional Women.
Durham is the owner and principal of FinancePlan, a financial planning and mortgage broking business based in Whangarei, which employs 10 people.
Durham plans to spend the $5000 award prizemoney on a community seminar series to educate the public about how to achieve their financial goals.
She is a Certified Financial Planner, a member of the Society of Independent Financial Advisers and former chairperson of AdvisorGroup.
