Peter Rourke has decided to leave American International Assurance and join Royal & SunAlliance.
"We are naturally disappointed to lose someone of Peter's experience and calibre, as he has carried the flag for us in the Wellington and Central area with the high degree of excellence and professionalism which characterises Peter's approach," AIA general manager David Whyte says.
AIA will seek to appoint a successor to the role, and will be actively exploring all options.
"While we have recently been struggling to keep up with demand for our products, the service levels have been the focus of some intense activity, and improvements are already being reported to us," Whyte says.
