WestpacTrust New Zealand chief executive Harry Price is to take up a new role in Sydney with wider group responsibilities.
Price's move is part of a restructure of the Westpac Group. In his new role he will continue to be the group executive responsible for New Zealand and Pacific regional banking, with additional responsibility for implementing group-wide performance enhancement programmes, including shared services, the corporate centre and trans-Tasman projects.
Tom Gallagher will become chief executive of WestapcTrust and will take up the new role in December. Gallagher is a New Zealander with 34 years' experience in the banking industry. He is currently ceo of Westpac in Queensland.
