BT promotes Gary Symons

BT Funds Management's current Head of Real Estate, Gary Symons, will replace Andre Morony as Chief Investment Officer based in Sydney. Morony has spent four years as CIO and will leave the firm at the end of February. Symons has 18 years experience in finance and funds management in Australia, the UK, USA, South Africa and Switzerland. He has been Head of Real Estate at BT for the past two years, having moved in 1999 from Bankers Trust Investment Bank where he was instrumental in developing and expanding the bank's private equity business. Craig Stobo remains Chief Investment Officer as well as Chief Executive for BT in New Zealand.
