Commission replaces Farrell

Sanjiv Jetly has been appointed general manager at the Securities Commission. This is a new position and replaces the role of chief executive which has been held by John Farrell.
Jane Diplock holds the position of executive chairman.
Jetly was previously general manager Operations for Tower Managed Funds and has had a distinguished career in financial services. He holds an MBA and is a chartered accountant.
He is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, London, and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, London. He will be responsible for the financial management, strategic planning, project management. and the administrative and management support functions for the commission.

Also at the commission Liam Mason has been appointed general counsel.
He has been with the commission for five years and is particularly involved in the commission’s work on the Securities Markets and Institutions Bill and stock exchange matters.
