Significant changes at BT

Monday, January 20th 2003, 10:02PM
BT Funds Management has finished an organisational review which sees several people promoted to more senior positions and the departure of chief operating officer Mike Newton.
Andrew South will become chief investment officer. He will retain specific responsibility for BT's New Zealand share portfolios.
Matthew Mimms has been appointed head of retail sales and service with overall responsibility for managing BT's relationships and service provision to financial advisers and retail investors.

Gordon Noble-Campbell will become head of marketing. In this role, he will have responsibility for BT's product management, marketing services and communication.
"An outcome of this review is that Mike Newton has decided to leave BT after having made a significant contribution to our success over the past three years," chief executive Craig Stobo says. "Mike's role will not be replaced in the revised structure."
