Tuesday, February 4th 2003, 7:48AM
Urbus Properties Limited has appointed Peter Wilson to the board as an additional independent director.
Wilson serves on a number of boards, including WestpacTrust Investments Limited, Colonial Motor Company and Evergreen Forests Limited. He is a former partner in Ernst and Young and is now a Wellington business consultant.
Urbus chairman, Denis Thom, says Wilson’s appointment will bring additional strengths to the board, particularly in the areas of financial management, banking and public company disciplines.

"The board of Urbus Properties is determined to provide effective corporate governance for the company as it expands and increases shareholder value," Thom says.
Urbus has also announced the appointment of Mark Petersen as acting general manager.
Petersen is a registered valuer who has more than 25 years experience in the New Zealand property markets. He was managing director of Shortland Properties from 1989 to 1999. Over the past two years he has established a commercial property consulting business based in Wellington.
