New business, new man

Sovereign has announced the appointment of Mark Collins as senior manager, new business within the operations team.

He joins Sovereign from Liberata, a UK based business processing company, where he was the innovations and solutions manager.

It is is a new role for the company, designed to bring world-class standards to Sovereign’s procedures.

"The specialist operations knowledge Mark has means he can look strategically at the new business processes Sovereign has, and in turn, how we can process applications faster to improve the service we offer to our clients," managing director Simon Swanson says.

One of Collins' key strengths is his capability in managing large scale business process improvements, including the implementation process.

He has a law degree from Otago University and a MBA from the Open University in England.
