New appointment at IRG

Wednesday, March 12th 2008, 10:12AM
Investment Research Group (IRG) has recruited Louis Boulanger as an independent chairman of its investment committee.

Boulanger has been an investment advisor to private and institutional clients since 2006, and is a former chief executive of Mercer New Zealand. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and founded the CFA of New Zealand in 2000, where he remains a director and an active member.

David McEwan, managing director of IRG, said: "As chairman of our investment committee, Louis will add an independent viewpoint based on decades of experience both locally and internationally. Our clients can only benefit from having him involved in the business."

IRG is a subsidiary of NZAX-listed Viking Capital.
