Trappy joins BIG

Insurance industry group, Brokers' Independent Group (BIG) has appointed John Trapp to the role of Southern Development and Relationships Manager.

 

"Trappy" has more than 30 years experience in the insurance industry. His previous senior management roles include South Island Manager and South Island Broker Manager at Prudential and Initial Broker manager for National Mutual (now AXA).

 

He has been a successful insurance adviser and for nine years ran his own managing agency Concord Financial Services.

 

"Trapy" has represented the South Island at various times on the LUA (now IFA) and PAA boards, qualified for Million Dollar Round Table several times, and is a Chartered Insurance Agency Manager (CIAM), Associate Life Underwriter (ALU) and Associate Financial Planner (AFP).

 

His appointment is part of a Brokers' Independent Group wider initiative to offer specialist support to add further depth and experience in recruitment and training.
