O'Donnell joined GMI last May to spearhead the group's new wholesale investment venture.

According to a GMI spokesperson, a replacement for O'Donnell has been hired and will start the job in the first week of May.

Prior to joining GMI O'Donnell spent five years at Trade Me, finishing up as the firm's head of commercial and regulatory affairs.

He was also formerly distribution manager for AMP Capital.
