Newton Ross branches out to Tauranga

Friday, April 23rd 2010, 12:12PM

Newton Ross Private Wealth Management is branching out with the purchase of Portfolio Professionals Limited, a Tauranga based  company owned by Alan Read.
Newton Ross is an Auckland based independent, private wealth advisory and management business established by its principals, Wayne Ross and Mike Newton, in 2003 to provide services to higher net worth individuals and charitable trusts.
"We are excited about the future for high quality financial advice in New Zealand, particularly with the new regulatory requirements reinforcing the way for truly independent advisory firms. We believe independent advice is something investors highly value and Portfolio Professionals is a close fit for Newton Ross as we expand our operations" said Mike Newton.

Alan Read, who has been a practicing financial adviser for over 20 years will be staying on to operate the Newton Ross office in Tauranga.
The changeover date of ownership is 1 May.
