Three BDM appointments at TOWER Health & Life

TOWER Health & Life has announced three key appointments within the Intermediary Distribution team.

Monday, October 18th 2010, 11:39AM

Josh Broadbent has been appointed as business development manager (BDM) for Waikato and Bay of Plenty, Gary Binnie as a BDM in Christchurch and Peter Wilkening as a senior BDM in Auckland.

Head of Intermediary Distribution Mike Lopes says TOWER Health & Life is pleased to provide further focus on adviser support through these appointments.

Josh Broadbent has a wealth of knowledge about the TOWER Health & Life product suite, having joined the company in 2006 as a relationship manager.

He is excited to be heading back to the Waikato, from where he hails. He and his family will be locating to the region in October to commence his role.

TOWER Health & Life national sales manager Steve Gregory is pleased to see talent coming through the business and is looking forward to the impact Broadbent can make.

"Having worked at TOWER Health & Life for a number of years, Josh is well versed in our products and processes so he can become invaluable to advisers distributing TOWER's products in that region."

Peter Wilkening has been promoted to senior BDM (formerly BDM), where he will continue to serve the Auckland area.

Wilkening joins Phil O'Keefe (senior BDM) and Christine Laverty (key account manager) in sharing the national management of key group relationships at TOWER Health & Life.

Lopes says Wilkening is well thought of among the adviser community.

"With his duties now extending to incorporate a number of important distribution group  relationships for TOWER Health & Life, Peter's experience will be a key attribute."

Gary Binnie joins TOWER Health & Life in mid-October in the position of BDM in the Christchurch region.

Binnie is a long-time resident of Christchurch and well regarded in the local financial services industry, with experience in a number of financial institutions including AMP, ANZ, Westpac and Trustbank.

Gregory says Binnie has worked in the industry for a number of years, including helping to build Christchurch business Synergy Financial Services.

"With his experience and expertise he is ideally placed to help add real value to advisers looking to grow their own businesses."
