FPSB appoints new chair, directors

The Financial Standards Planning Board (FPSB) has announced two new director level appointments and a new board chair.

Tuesday, November 8th 2011, 12:41PM

Steve Helmich, financial planning, advice and services director for AMP Financial Services, and FPSB director, has been named as Board chairperson-elect in 2012.

He will serve as 2012 chair of the FPSB Council, an advisory body of the FPSB Board of Directors, before assuming duties as Board chair in 2013.

"With his successful financial planning model at AMP, Steve has demonstrated how CFP professionals can add value at large firms," said Corinna Dieters, 2001 FPSB chair.

"Steve's background and knowledge will benefit the FPSB Council as our members continue to develop their outreach programmes to financial services firms."

The FPSB also announced the election of Barry Horner, chief executive of UK-based Paradigm Norton Financial Planning, to a four-year term on the FPSB board of directors, effective April 1, 2012.

Also joining the Board on April 1, 2012 will be Tim Kochis, president of International Ventures at US-based Aspiriant.
