Newpark appoints new BDM

Newpark has appointed Simon Yarrell as BDM in Christchurch. This is a newly created role due to Newpark's focus on expansion and growth. He will start in January 2012.

Over the past ten years Yarrell worked as an independent financial adviser for AMP and then moved to work for ASB as an insurance manager. He is very passionate about the insurance industry and followed in his father's footsteps. Simon has completed 2 ironman triathlons and has won the 2 day coast to coast.  He has loads of energy and we are pleased to welcome him to the Newpark team.

It's fantastic that Newpark is providing some much needed support to brokers in quake stricken Christchurch. This is an excellent example of a proactive Dealer Group helping their brokers, at a time when other Dealer Groups and many Insurance Companies are cutting back.

It is great to see Newpark appointing a BDM in Christchurch, quite proactive, but just catching up with some of the other Groups who have had BDM's down that way for some years and who have fully supported their advisers throughout the past year.

I agree with Interested. Other dealer groups have had BDM's and support in the South Island for years. I think Mr Wilson needs to get his facts straight if he thinks that other groups are cutting back.
