nib appoints head of distribution
nib has appointed Donnamarie Edwards as its head of distribution for its New Zealand operations.

Edwards was previously with AMP Financial Services and has more than 10 years’ senior management experience in finance and insurance.
nib’s chief executive, Rob Hennin, said Edwards’ extensive experience and industry knowledge would make her a valuable addition to nib’s senior management team.
“In less than 12 months, we have made significant progress by launching the nib brand in New Zealand, offering customers a direct-to-consumer health insurance product, developing new adviser only products, and our business partnership with Fidelity Life. Critical to this and our on-going success is having the right people on board, and Donnamarie will play a critical role in the continued growth and success of our business,” he said.
Edwards will start with nib this month. “I look forward to leveraging years of experience in the insurance industry to deliver value-for-money health insurance and outstanding service for our customers,” she said.
Her previous roles include head of workplace solutions for AMP, director of group business for AIA and national manager for Southern Cross Healthcare.
