Inspirational Women In Business Charity Luncheon

22 March 2019

"Shed your coat to help keep someone warm this winter."

Bring donations of winter clothes to help other women achieve their dreams. Join fellow women in business and gain inspiration from other women.

We have three amazing speakers for you to listen to:

  • Kirsten Smedley - Kirsten is the Career Centre Manager with Dress For Success' running their Career Development programme across Auckland. She will explain the inspirational work they do and give real life examples.
  • Nicky Molloy - “Nicky’s story is a tale of overcoming financial adversity and reinventing herself; moving out of her comfort zone and discovering the inner strength we all have in us and achieving industry-wide recognition of her level of success. When the Global Financial Crisis hit in 2008-9, Nicky and her husband Mark were running a local business and with the sudden downturn in the economy, found themselves homeless and penniless with two young children. Refusing to accept the situation they found themselves in, when an opportunity arose in a completely foreign industry, she took a chance, and with determination and hard work she has never looked back,
  • Catherine Spalding - When her parents moved to Sydney this 17-year-old girl from Auckland decided to define her life by making her own life decisions and stayed in NZ. Catherine started her career in the banking industry, moving from a front line role to head office. She has worked in banking, security, shipping and automotive industries across finance, HR, general office management and business ownership. She has navigated infertility, financial hardship, survived a brush with cancer and started her own home-based business. In her mid-forties she set a goal to win a gold medal at her chosen sport. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and is a mother to 15 year old twins. Her story is one of how you can win your ‘gold medal’ through everything that life throws you. Join your friends and colleagues for this powerful and thought provoking event and help other women to a better life through your contribution.
