Speakers:
Tim Edwards: Managing Director and Global Head of Index Investment Strategy
Tim Edwards is Managing Director and Global Head of Index Investment Strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). The group provides research and commentary on S&P DJI’s entire product set, including U.S. and global equities, commodities, fixed income, and economic indices. Prior to joining S&P DJI in 2013, Tim worked for Barclays Capital, initially within fund-linked derivatives and subsequently in exchange-traded products and index-linked derivatives. Prior to that, he worked at the Royal Institution of Great Britain. Tim holds a Ph.D in pure mathematics from University College London.
Daphne van der Oord: Head of Australia & New Zealand, S&P Dow Jones Indices.
A globally experienced finance and banking professional. Daphnes current role primarily focuses on advancing its business in the region and strengthening its strategic relationships, including that with the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). Prior to that she served as director of institutional sales and client services with ING Investment Management, leveraging the institutional sales knowledge she developed during her time at ABN AMRO Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management. She began her career at ABN AMRO Securities and Citibank. Van der Oord earned her bachelor's degree from University College London and a master's in applied finance from Macquarie University.
Dean Anderson: Chief Executive Officer, Kernel.
A thought leader in investments and technology, Dean is the founder of Kernel, a future focussed index fund manager. He has over a decade of experience in the Financial Services sector and index investments. Dean is passionate about driving the sustainability focus at Kernel, enabling investors to invest in sustainable funds and ensuring the company voluntarily offset’s their carbon emissions yearly, among other sustainable efforts.
This session will be held over breakfast and will provide ample opportunity for you to ask questions of Tim, Daphne and the Kernel team.
