Miton Global Opportunities fund managers Nick Greenwood and Charlotte Cuthbertson reflect on the impact of COVID-19 on closed-end funds, highlighting some of the opportunities arising from the indiscriminate market sell-off in February and March 2020. While admitting there is ‘an element of watching paint dry’ to their investment strategy, they explain how the investment company sector is constantly reinventing itself and outline how they have been active in encouraging trust boards to unlock value for shareholders.
