It has appointed former Securities Commission maanager Claude Oberto as an independent director.
Oberto worked with Angus Dale-Jones as part of an initial two-man management team to implement the Financial Advisers Act.
Dale-Jones is now board member of the Professional Advisers Association.
"Claude's extensive experience in financial services and, in particular, his most recent experience as part of the initial two-man management team to implement the Financial Advisers Act means that he will make a valuable contribution to the board," chairman Dave McMillan says.
Prior to his role with the commission Oberto was the head of business services at Trustees Executors.
