PAA chairman resigns

PAA chairman Peter Leitch has announced he is standing down after five years in the role.

Monday, May 20th 2013, 3:42PM

The announcement was made at the PAA's awards dinner on Friday evening.

He said: "I have been in the role since 2007 and felt that it was the right time for the change."

Leitch and Geoff Peterson were re-elected at the PAA's AGM last week. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board appointed Bruce Cortesi as chair.

Leitch said Cortesi would do a wonderful job.

"I do reflect proudly on my contribution to the PAA, and I look forward with confidence to the future of the PAA, noting the quality and strength of the Board, the team at the PAA,  and most importantly, the membership.

At our excellent awards on Friday night, which closed our fantastic 60th anniversary conference, we celebrated the success of members, suppliers, supporters and the PAA."
