GTFM appoint new global equities risk manager

Monday, January 22nd 2001, 9:29PM
Guardian Trust Funds Management has appointed Miles Marshall (pictured) to the position of global equities risk manager.
Marshall is a Kiwi who is reversing the “brain drain” and has returned to New Zealand after working nine years in the investment management industry in London with Citibank and Gartmore (the latter being taken over by NatWest during his time with them).
Marshall’s international experience and top down investment style are key attributes for the role which involves implementing capital protection for some of our offshore equity mandates. He will also interact and monitor our overseas equity managers, Capital International and Dresdner RCM.

Marshall starts with GTFM on January 22.
Rob Moorhouse has been appointed to a new position of product development manager.
“I am keen to position GTFM as an innovative and progressive investment manager. Introducing new products is a key part of this and Rob can make a real contribution in this area” managing director Anthony Quirk says.
