Like many managers getting to the $1 billion in funds under management takes them, then growth becomes exponential.
Kernel cracked the $1 billion in June 2024 when it was five. Now, at seven years old it has $4.8 billion in funds under management, and around 60,000 investors.
Founder and chief executive Dean Anderson says “quarter on quarter, our sign ups grew, 76%.”
The firm has big plans with the ultimate goal of making Kernel “ the wealth operating system for everybody.”
He pitches the company as a digital platform that integrates “humanity into the technology.
Speaking at the open on its new offices, Anderson said, “we are building scale. We're not staying small. Kernel's goal is to become the wealth operating system for everybody.”
Anderson alluded to offshore expansion and said “there's a lot of secrets in the works.”
