Thom Bentley has joined Macquarie New Zealand as business development manager in its financial services group, reporting to Tina Sidnell, head of intermediary distribution.

Thom has been working in the United Kingdom financial services industry since 1987, and has extensive business development experience with a number of high profile UK fund management organisations, including Morley Fund Management and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

He has experience in a wide range of asset classes, including domestic and global fixed income, global equities, cash products and structured products.

Thom holds the UK Financial Planning Certificate qualification, and the AIMR's Investment Management Certificate qualification.
