Former Barclays man to head up Public Trust

The Public Trust's new chief executive is a former Barclays Bank man.

Graeme Hansen, has an extensive background in the financial services industry as a board member and chief executive, both in New Zealand and overseas where he has held chief executive positions in the Barclays Banking Group in Australia, Canada and the UK.

In these roles, he has demonstrated notable leadership as a champion of change and transformation for business improvement.

In addition, Hansen was the chief executive of a statutory body, the New Zealand Racing Board from 2004 to 2009, and led this organisation to achieve significant growth in net revenue and performance.

He replaces Grenville Gaskell who has held the CEO role for five and half years.
