BNP appoints New Zealand head

BNP Paribas Fund Services Australasia has appointed Doug Cameron as Head of Location in New Zealand.

Thursday, September 4th 2014, 6:00AM

Cameron joined BNP Paribas in New Zealand in 2002. Since then, he has held several roles as Client Service and Client Relationship Manager. More recently he was Head of Relationship Management and Sales for the country. He is also a qualified chartered accountant with 10 years’ experience.

“Doug brings with him a great depth of first-hand local knowledge, expertise and experience,” said Peter Baker, head of the securities services business in Australia and New Zealand. “He is a long-standing member of our local management team and has an excellent track record of adapting our global solutions to the needs of our New Zealand clients. His appointment will enable us to pursue our strategy of providing solutions tailored to the local market’s requirements during a period of increasing regulatory and market infrastructure change.”

Cameron takes over from Barry Dench, who is repatriating to Australia.
