Legislation date confused: MBIE
An MBIE error is being blamed for a line in a press release this week that said the Financial Services Legisation Amendment Bill would be introduced to Parliament this month.

That caused surprise among the financial advice sector, who had not been expecting it so soon.
But policy manager James Hartley said the legislation was, in fact, due next month.
“That was an oversight we did not pick up at our end.”
