New business development manager for Consilium

Client relationship team brings in specialist with 30 years of experience.

Friday, April 6th 2018, 11:00AM

Independent financial services specialist, Consilium, announced today that Helen Robertson has joined the company as a business development manager based in Auckland. Robertson will be working with clients across all service areas, offering support, guidance and knowledge to help them grow their businesses.

Robertson joins Consilium from UDC Finance where she has just completed 11 years, initially as business development manager building the financial adviser channel, then as national sales manager – investments, responsible for all the investment channels, investor services and operations.

Robertson has 30 years’ experience in financial services in a variety of roles, including retail banking, consumer lending, customer service management, trustee services and marketing and business development.

“I started working with financial advisers in 1994, and in that time I’ve learned what they need to succeed for their clients, and how I can help. I’m really looking forward to working exclusively with advisers again with Consilium,” she said.

Robertson has also been a member of the Institute of Financial Advisers for the majority of that time and finished a six year period as secretary/treasurer for the Auckland IFA branch last September, which included working on three national conference organising committees. In 2015, she was presented the President’s Award for her work with the IFA.

“With the considerable growth of our client base and a commitment to invest in our services, appointing the right people allows us to continue to meet client expectations, grow our existing strengths and create new initiatives. We are excited to have found people who fit with our purpose and values, and these appointments will only enhance Consilium’s ability to support the quality, reputation and reach of financial advisers,” said managing director, Scott Alman.
