Port Hills homes rank sixth in the country
Christchurch properties with city or coastal views are among the priciest in the country, figures from the Real Estate Institute reveal.

These confirm a white-hot property market is pushing house prices to unprecedented levels.
However, a few bargains remain for the canny buyer prepared to change location.
If you have just won Lotto or money is no object, New Zealand's largest city is the place to go. If not, prepare to sign up for a large mortgage. Figures show nine areas in New Zealand recorded a median sales price of more than $400,000. All but two of them were in the Auckland region.
