Rates rebel attacks ARC over database

A fresh complaint has been lodged with the auditor-general over regional rates following comments from a North Shore regional councillor.

Regional Ratepayers Rebellion leader David Thornton's call for an investigation was sparked by a North Shore Times Advertiser article.

North Shore regional councillor Ian Bradley was quoted in the NSTA in December saying that Auckland Regional Council (ARC) politicians "could only guess" at the impact of their rating decisions on individual ratepayers.
